Notice of conclusion of audit 31 March 2018 and public access

Please be advised that the external auditor PKF Littlejohn have now released their Final Auditor Report and Certificate in respect of Tiffield Parish Council for the financial year 2017/18

The certificate along with Sections 1,2 and 3 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) submitted by the Parish Council and the notice of public access are all attached to this news item.

Misuse of Dog Bins in village

Hi all,

Possibly a rather unsavoury post but necessary.

It has come to the attention of the Parish Council that a small number of residents are using the Dog Pooh bins to deposit bags cleared from their own gardens and created by their own pets.

Can we ask that this practice stops.

The bins are there to ensure that dog mess can be cleared from public areas in the village and safely disposed off.

ANNUAL MEETING OF PARISH COUNCIL

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council is when the Council elects it's Chairman for the forthcoming year, sets meeting dates, and conducts various other items of business which are statutory requirements for the Council.

Any member of the public may attend this meeting, which will be held in the Reading Room.

NEW RECTOR

We are very pleased to welcome Rev Karen Jongman as the new rector of our Parish Church. Karen will preside over the benefice which, as well as Tiffield, includes Gayton, Cold Higham and Pattishall.

POTHOLES in ROADS

Residents are encouraged to use the link to Northamptonshire County Council's "streetdoctor"on the right of this page to report potholes in local roads.

There are numerous potholes in Eastcote Road, Donkey Lane and Blisworth Road. The more people that report them greater the chance of them being repaired!

FLOODLIGHTS at PARISH CHURCH

The floodlights at the Parish Church over the Christmas Period not only looked wonderful, but they also enhance the security at the church. Many churches have lead stripped from their rooves, but this is less likely to happen if the church us illuminated.
