Annual Bonfire and Fireworks display - 2nd November

Dear all,

Tiffield Bonfire and Firework evening - 2nd November

As we start the month of October, then our preparations for the annual bonfire and firework extravaganza really start in earnest!

The date for this years display is Saturday 2nd November (with the 9th November pencilled in should the weather be too severe on the 2nd).

As normal the event will take place on Claydons field, with the gates opening at 6.00pm, the bonfire being lit at around 6.30pm and the fireworks starting at around 6.45pm.

Entrance to the display is £4.00 for adults and £1 for children under 16.

There will be mulled wine and hot drinks available as well as hot food to keep the chill out.

Posters (as attached) will shortly be distributed around the village and delivered to all households.

As ever, we are looking for wood to help build the bonfire and to that end, if you have any wood or similar material that you think would help, then the gates to Claydon's Field will be open every weekend (Saturday morning till Sunday evening) between now and the display.

Just take your wood up and place it near the bonfire area. We are looking to start building it this weekend.

Can I ask that we have no 'greenery' as this is hard to burn.

Further, if you need help in transporting your wood etc, then we may be able to help, so drop me an e-mail at clerk@tiffieldparishcouncil.org.uk or call me on 01327 323195.

Keep your eyes open for further updates.

All the best
