Great British September Clean 11th - 27th September

Hi all,

You will be aware that this year, the annual Spring litter pick in the village had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus.

In light of this, the 'Keep Britain Tidy' campaign are about to launch the Great British September Clean, which will run from the 11th - 27th September.

In essence the campaign is looking to local residents to register to either undertake a group clean up with no more than five others, or an individual clean up.

To do either, you can register via the following link

When you follow the link you will also find lots of information about how to take part and what is required.

As set out by The Keep Britain Tidy campaign, in their message to the Parish Council,

"Tackling litter is an absolute priority, and never before has it been so important for our community to come together to take part in this amazing campaign. We know that taking part in community action has positive effects on our mental health and, right now, anything we can do to unite British citizens and empower communities to make a difference during these uncertain times is so important."

The Parish Council has limited supply of litter grabbers and fluorescent vests which can be lent to anyone wishing to take part. Details of when and from where they can be collected will be published shortly.

If you have any questions or would like to pre book any equipment, please contact the Clerk.
