Village plans for Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Plans for the parish of Tiffield to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee weekend are well underway.

The following are an outline of what is due to take place and when. Some details are still to be confirmed but the weekend is likely to look something like this: -

Thursday 2nd June

Tree planting with ta time capsule at Tiffield Primary school. Further to details to follow.

13.45 to 14.05 - Village cryer to read out the Royal Proclamation.

21.15 -Bonfire, beacon and mortars at Claydon Field

Friday 3rd June

16.00 onward - fun and games on the village green followed by BBQ (bring your own food)

Beer tent available all evening with piped music.

Saturday 4th June

Live music from numerous bands all afternoon and evening at The George Inn

Sunday 5th June

Midday till 3pm - Street Party between Meadow Rise and Eastcote Road (this section of High Street North will be closed between 11am and 4pm).

The street party will be followed by live 50's and 60's music at The George where food will also be available.
